Release our Innovations! The low down and brief history of the WTFmod...
Crowdfunding to Release our Innovations!
Would you like to reduce your ever escalating costs of motoring and maintaining your vehicles while helping the environment?
We need you to help us to provide the cutting edge solutions, and old school innovations that the motor industry ignores, or forgets to develop!
Without Crowdfunding and donations, we would be destined to remain a voluntary organization, that lacks the required investment to see its projects through.
But with your help, we know we can make a BIG difference! We have simple, practical solutions for the everyday motorist and Eco Modder that will help the environment greatly, and reduce our overall pollution and financial footprints and increase you BHP's!
Since the advent of the Internet, good ideas can spread like wild fire. However with the advent of pay per click, and new personalized search results - it becomes much harder to find what is actually available - or possible using both new, and old technological developments.
But what if you don't have the Internet? Can you rely on the T.V. to tell you everything you need to know?
Sometimes, good ideas take hold and gain support, but all too often they can get bottle necked into tightly knit communities. Then the idea could stop in it's expansion. The World misses the point, as the idea gets overshadowed by dogma, lack of investment, development costs, corporate interest and/or the high costs involved in getting the information out to the public in order to gain their support. Then it gets forgotten...
It never ceases to amaze, how small groups or individual developers manage to come up with the most significant discoveries and solutions that the world actually requires.
It can also be said, that a lot of these are in fact re-discoveries, which points to a great failure as far as our education system goes. That aside - many dedicated inventors and researchers continue to push the boundaries of our technology and understanding, but succeeding in gaining recognition, or exposure, can come at a very high price - if at all. Sometimes this will mean losing control of an idea or concept entirely, due in part to lack of available funding to patent or continue development. Even if patents are granted, the cost of investment can be absolutely dumb founding, which may leave the inventor no other option than to stop development or production until an investor or resources become available.
These kind of scenarios don't actually help those that the technology was meant to help it the first place!
Super Boost Pack 2.0
Featured above is our small and very lightweight booster pack design that has been proven to start a 5.9 liter turbo diesel, 7.5 ton Truck on 'one' of its two poorly batteries, and one motorcycle battery (a normally impossible combination), as it's only source of power. This device is using capacitor technology. A great, low cost, low lead solution for those - stuck in the middle of nowhere scenarios! Charges in less than 60 seconds - and can even charge off of your almost dead batteries - and with up to 5 million charge cycles vs 5000 lead acid cycles. It will outlast your car!
Our 900+amp booster pack that will recharge from the mains in a few minutes, or recharge itself after starting a vehicle in seconds - while weighing in at only 3kg. Most commercial truck garages would need a heavy golf trolley sized boost pack requiring 14 hours to recharge, with a cost of around £900 - £2000. The Super Boost Pack with up to a 5 million cycle lifespan - as opposed to 5000 cycle's for a lead acid based battery, with a cost of only around £350, and will outlast your vehicle. This type of battery technology is much more Environmentally Friendly due to construction materials and longer life span. If fitted to a vehicle, replacing or assisting the original battery, it can significantly lower the strain on the alternator - further decreasing pollution and fuel consumption due to the inherent reduction in overall engine load to reach maximum charge in these virtually resistance free devices.
This will also translate into less engine load and wear on cold starting - thanks to this minimal resistance. This technology has already been significantly reduced in size and weight thanks to our research and can already replace almost any battery, and is very much suited for use in ultra fast charge and real-time charging devices, like our active off grid Solar Media Centre -
SO.... WHY NOT JUST OPEN SOURCE??
Well... We have!
Open sourcing ideas is a great initiative, and can help greatly in the spreading of an idea or concept and can help with tweaks in it's development. This, however, does not always help the 'non tech minded' or those who lack the space or equipment to be able to replicate.
Nor does it help if you were never made aware of the idea or concept in the first place!
Also - open sourcing doesn't cover the development costs of those 'giving away' their discoveries, ideas or innovations - nor does it guarantee the vast majority of the general public will ever get to see them. Some technologies of course require massive infrastructure or expensive equipment and technical knowhow before you could even begin to replicate the idea.
Other problems include stigma generated by those who are unable to correctly replicate devices, and then blame it on the authors. This has happened to many open source inventors and researchers.
It is the aim of this project, not only to bring these ideas firmly into the Global Domain, rather than small communal ones, but to put a bit of food and resources on the table for those who can continue to astonish with even more awesome discoveries - and equally, if not more important, to be able to mass manufacture these products EXACTLY so that you can actually buy them for reasonable cost - Without all the messing about!
To do this of course, like most developers... We need money and of course - your support!
Z5 Scooby
Seen above - at an energy conference in Ireland in 2011 - is our ex development car, sporting friction eliminating Nano Ceramic Technology applied to the 2.0 turbo charged engine and permanent 4wd system, and also fitted with a patented Air Intake Ionizer. The car developing over 330 BHP with a 0-60 MPH of 3.7 seconds. It had a top speed of 151 MPH, shockingly low emissions - and still providing a very respectable 38mpg! Sadly - loss of funding halted further advances and forced the sale of this very unique car.
HHO tune
Not to dwell on the past, more recent developments from our team include a discrete vaporization system that will considerably reduce pollution, reduce engine wear, and increase performance.
The WTF Rover 45 1.4
Tests have resulted in staggering MPG increases of over 100%!
The record is currently held by our 2002 Rover 45 1.4 16v petrol - recording high averages of 67 - 75 MPG over it's original averages of 30 - 34 MPG, with a significant reduction in CO2. It is also worth noting that this vehicle is using Nano Ceramic Technology in the drive train and engine by The Gas-Tronomic Garage, and Ionized Air intake, so we do not expect these exact figures will transfer to every vehicle, and of course, these figures will also depend on the condition of the engine, drive train, aerodynamics, and the ability of the driver, but figures of a 40% - 70% increase in MPG's or more are to be expected. The final kit will be very simple to fit to virtually any engine available on the market, and although specifically designed for petrol engines, diesel engines can gain some benefit from a variation in the design, with a much more efficient system currently under development, with a target of 100+ MPG in the pipeline with no ECU or sensor modifications!
The cost? Less than 150 quid! So what is the price of ignorance?
The UK average untaxed pump price for unleaded petrol was £0.4572 per litre
+ The December 2010 rate of duty at £0.5819 per litre
+ VAT rate of 17.5%
= January 2011 taxed price £1.256 per litre.
That is equivalent to a tax rate of 175%
+ add Carbon taxes on YOUR pollution.
Does that really sound like a drive to help you today by raising distribution, goods, transport network, and motoring costs, with no difference in air quality or real decrease in pollution?
Is it to pay for future solutions, some of which have been around for the last 80+ years?
We didn't think so either...
LOSSES
Only about 15 percent of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and drive line inefficiencies, idling and aerodynamics.
Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with OUR advanced technologies is enormous!
So lets look more closely at the OFFICIAL claimed losses...
Engine Losses - 62.4 percent!
In gasoline-powered vehicles, over 62 percent of the fuel's energy is lost in the internal combustion engine (ICE). ICE engines are very inefficient at converting the fuel's chemical energy to mechanical energy, losing energy to engine friction, pumping air into and out of the engine, and wasted heat.
THEY ALSO WASTE LOTS OF FUEL COOLING ENGINE COMPONENTS SUCH AS VALVES - WHICH IS NOT DECLARED IN THE STATISTICS LISTED ABOVE! VALVE OVERLAP (TECHNICAL TERM) IS A SIGNIFICANT CAUSE OF WASTING FUEL IN ALL INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES.
Advanced engine technologies such as variable valve timing and lift, turbo charging, direct fuel injection, and cylinder deactivation can be used to reduce these losses.
YET OUR PETROL ROVER FEATURES NONE OF THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED GADGETS TO ACHIEVE 75MPG... AND ALL OF THE OF THE ABOVE ARE VASTLY MORE EXPENSIVE TO IMPLEMENT.
In addition, diesels are about 30-35 percent more efficient than gasoline engines, and new advances in diesel technologies and fuels are making these vehicles more attractive.
Except Diesel's pollute a lot more - with nasty gases that the authorities forget to mention. After all - CO2 is great for trees and plants - IF we didn't chop them all down and build on their habitats first. Diesel fumes are significantly more damaging to health than those from petrol engines, according to research published by the Department for Energy and Climate Change - DEFRA Report
You may also find this following article easier to swallow than the above DEFRA Report,
Diesel fumes more damaging to health than petrol engines! - Ministry report says 'green' cars contribute significantly to air pollution and lung diseases....
There you have it - even if you are not too keen on trawling...
Other facts normally overlooked, or they refuse to mention is that Diesel is CHEAPER TO PRODUCE than Petrol. TAXING EH? Amazing how they sell it for a higher premium - more per litre than any other commercial fuel!
Idling Losses - 17.2 percent
In urban driving, significant energy is lost to idling at stop lights or in traffic. Technologies such as integrated starter/generator systems help reduce these losses by automatically turning the engine off when the vehicle comes to a stop and restarting it instantaneously when the accelerator is pressed.
This however will increase engine wear, and is not as beneficial as our ceramic technology at reducing these losses over time - if you include maintenance costs.
Aerodynamic Drag - Only 2.6 percent???? (We do not support this estimation)
A vehicle must expend energy to move air out of the way as it goes down the road—less energy at lower speeds and progressively more as speed increases. Drag is directly related to the vehicle's shape. Smoother vehicle shapes have already reduced drag significantly, but further reductions of 80% percent are possible as seen below!
Above is an ugly, yet very efficient 95 MPG (WTF?) Civic with A STANDARD U.S. ISSUE LEAN BURN ENGINE that would normally allow for 40 mpg! We estimate we could achieve 150 MPG+ GROSS OUTPUT using our water/fuel vaporization technology! A DIY'er can do it all for less than 600 dollars per car!
So why can't the trillion dollar motor industry?
It can of course - And seen below - is just one of the many past examples of aerodynamic prowess, that with our technology and modern materials, would easily yield super high MPG cars....
Our current dilemma of course, is - Are we just going to throw away all our old cars into the garbage?
We are certainly able to help keep our current range of fossil fuel burning vehicles, running cleaner and much more efficient for longer, until such time as we are required by law, to get the credit, to buy an electric car, that runs on nuclear power.... Or to sell us conversions that use a fuel we can already make ourselves.
We could go many times better in all directions from water to air power (no joke) but we are subject to the law - aren't we?

Accessories - 2.2 percent
Air conditioning, power steering, windshield wipers, and other accessories use energy generated from the engine.
Fuel economy improvements of up to 20 percent may be achievable with more efficient alternator systems and power steering pumps, fans, and our capacitor based battery technology and Joule Ringer lighting technology, that will reduce alternator drag on the engine at all times.
Driveline Losses - 5.6 percent
Energy is lost in the transmission and other parts of the driveline.
Technologies, such as our ceramic friction elimination have been developed to reduce maintenance costs and indeed reduce these losses.
Rolling Resistance - 4.2 percent
Rolling resistance is a measure of the force necessary to move the tire forward and is directly proportional to the weight of the load supported by the tire. A variety of new technologies can be used to reduce rolling resistance, including improved tire tread and shoulder designs and materials used in the tire belt and traction surfaces. For passenger cars, a 5-7 percent reduction in rolling resistance increases fuel efficiency by 1 percent. However, these improvements must be balanced against traction, durability, and noise.
Overcoming Inertia; Braking Losses - 5.8 percent
To move forward, a vehicle's drivetrain must provide enough energy to overcome the vehicle's inertia, which is directly related to its weight. The less a vehicle weighs, the less energy it takes to move it. Weight can be reduced by using lightweight materials and lighter-weight technologies (e.g., automated manual transmissions weigh less than conventional automatics).
In addition, any time you use your brakes, energy initially used to overcome inertia is lost, but this friction could be transfered to generators that would provide recharge capabilities to the vehicles electrical system, while slowing down the vehicle when required. Some hybrid cars already use this technology like the Ford seen below, but no doubt their version is vastly more expensive that anything we would produce.
Ford Hybrid brakes
We could go on and on and on about forgotten technology and principles, or recent developments that could help every individual on the planet, whether they owned a car or not.
The IMPACT
Ultimately, this project is for your benefit. Countless hours of unpaid research and experimentation with investments running into the hundreds of thousands of pounds, dollars and euros have already been expended to try and bring these products and developments to fruition and also into the public arena - with a limited success.
OUR AIM IS NOT TO LET TECHNOLOGY LIKE THIS GO UNNOTICED!
Below are just two examples of historic revolutionary innovations - of which there are ultimately thousands - but these examples were chosen due to the nature and size of the corporations involved - and serve as a prime example of how important technology can be buried or never furthered in their development, due to future corporate profit losses, patent restrictions or were foolishly declared 'TOP SECRET'.
The technology featured in the first video, is predominantly used today in 'Memory Spectacles' or fold-able glasses - Using 'Metal with Memory'. However it's first use in the early 70's - documented here by CNN - was far more beneficial to mankind. Needless to say - you've probably never heard of it...

The second video depicts a revolutionary Ceramic Engine developed by Isuzu in the late 1980's, to be released 'in two years time' according to this reporter for 'Tomorrows World'... Or was it 'Top Gear'?
It is only through the discernment and determination of the people alone, that the relevant change will come to this planet. The people alone have the power in their hands to make positive impacts on our own societies and environments with the future of all concerned at stake.
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world. Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

If you have read this far, we hope you have enjoyed the presentation, and if nothing else, learned a thing or two. We send our thanks and blessings, and urge you to support us to support all our futures collectively - as only by working together - can we truly progress.
Divided in ignorance - we can only fail, as history will blatantly prove beyond a shadow of a doubt.
